In March 2020, as the global pandemic unfolded, Jeffrey Corry took significant measures to protect himself from COVID-19, including wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. With his preexisting conditions in mind, he lived as cautiously as possible. However, around Thanksgiving 2020, he began experiencing persistent high fevers and shortness of breath, prompting a visit to urgent care. He was then transferred to the ICU at a local hospital, where he tested positive for COVID-19.
